HEART BEAT is an art light installation from Ruwe Bolster that represents the heartbeat of the Earth. It combines up-cycling with storytelling and is responsive to music. It’s designed to spread love, hope and connection. It invites people to reflect and creates awareness.
HEART BEAT is made from materials and objects that might otherwise be discarded. It showcases the creative possibilities of giving existing materials a second life. Each object and material is carefully selected for the story and emotion it carries.
Old speaker parts refer to the connecting power of music, while textile waste adds softness, warmth and tactility to the installation. Toys that children have outgrown symbolise the joy, hope and connection found in play.
HEART BEAT travels to exhibitions, festivals and public spaces, reaching as wide an audience as possible. It reminds us that we are all ONE.
To make all of this possible, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover the production and exhibition costs. To give it greater meaning, we have connected HEART BEAT to Right To Play, making it more than just an art light installation. After all costs are covered all remaining donations will be passed on to Right To Play.
Right To Play is an international non-profit organisation that harnesses the power of sport and play worldwide to improve the lives of millions of children. Because play is an essential part of childhood and makes children strong and resilient, especially in the most challenging circumstances.Together we contribute to a positive social impact.
