Registration

Some routes and programme information on our website is only available after registration. We use the information you provide to manage your registration and provide access to the relevant information and activities.

Newsletter

When registering, you can separately and voluntarily choose whether you want to receive newsletters from GLUE. You do not need to subscribe to our newsletter to register or access routes and programme information.

If you consent, we use your email address and, where available, your name to send newsletters via Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter or by contacting us at info@glue.amsterdam.

We may retain limited information about your subscription or withdrawal of consent where necessary to record and respect your preferences.

QR codes

After registration, visitors may receive a personal QR code. We use this QR code at GLUE locations to verify registration and, where applicable, access to a location or programme element.

GLUE uses its own ticketing and registration software. When a QR code is scanned, information necessary for access control may be recorded, such as confirmation that a registration was checked at a particular location or programme element.

Please do not share your personal QR code with others.

Photography and video

Photographs and video recordings may be made during GLUE events. We may use these for documentation, reporting, communication, promotion and archiving.

We will take reasonable steps to inform visitors when photography or filming is taking place. If you have a serious objection to the use of a specific image in which you are recognisable, please contact us at info@glue.amsterdam. We will assess your request in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

4. What is the legal basis?

Depending on the situation, we process personal data because:

  • it is necessary to perform an agreement or provide a service you requested;

  • we are legally required to do so;

  • you have given consent; or

  • we have a legitimate interest, for example in organising, securing and improving our activities, provided that your rights and interests do not override our interests.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Who receives your data?

Access to personal data within GLUE is limited to people who need it for their work.

We may use service providers for hosting, IT, ticketing, registration, payments, newsletters, photography, communications and other services. Where required, we enter into appropriate data processing agreements with these providers.

We do not sell your personal data.

Some service providers, including Mailchimp, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, GLUE ensures that appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR are in place.

6. How long do we keep your data?

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law or is necessary for legitimate purposes.

Registration and access data are generally retained for as long as necessary to organise and administer the relevant GLUE edition and any related legal or administrative obligations.

Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or the data is no longer necessary. Information necessary to record your subscription or withdrawal of consent may be retained where appropriate.

Financial and contractual records are retained for the periods required by applicable law.

Photographs and videos may be retained for as long as they remain relevant for documentation, communication, promotion or archiving.

7. Security

GLUE takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, unlawful processing, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to authorised persons who need the information for their work.

If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess it and take appropriate action. Where required by law, we will notify the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens and/or affected individuals.

8. Cookies
