As a designer I’m interested in material experimentation,Afro-Futurism, and the ever-generative contexts of social exchange.
I center the reuse of existing crafts, waste materials and their connotations. I’m specifically influenced by Black and African diasporic stories and how they interweave with different social and design settings. I apply my skills of design research and making with strongly project-driven incentives to develop the stories and materials both in formal design settings such as in interior design, as in the social fabric of intimate and often gendered spaces of exchange between womxn
