Architect/sculptor/ceramicist Hans Oudendorp translates spatiality, interplay of planes and texture into
powerful ceramic sculptures. The raw, earthy quality of clay is central to these works, being translated
in various objects, vases and bowls.
For GLUE, he presents an ode to sculptor Ossip Zadkine, with whom he shares a creative affinity. His
‘elephant feet’ series merges the structure of elephant hide with clay's roughness. He also exhibits
composite forms glazed with Frisian clay and monumental ‘floating’ bowls, showcasing his versatile
palette as a ‘sculptural’ artist.
