Sunhyo Mast

Sunhyo Mast is an multidisciplinary artist, designer and curator based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. 

His practice bridges the worlds of sculpture and design, creating bespoke furniture pieces that push the boundaries between functional object and artistic expression. By embracing an intentionally chaotic process, Sunhyo redefines the value of materials, prioritising the use of discarded or reclaimed elements over new, pristine ones. This approach not only challenges conventional ideas of beauty and utility but also reflects a deeper inquiry into the lifecycle of materials.

Alongside his sculptural work, Sunhyo places a strong emphasis on fostering human connections and collaborative creative processes. This commitment to collective action is expressed through his curatorial projects, where he organises exhibitions that engage diverse voices and perspectives.
